Why State Networks? NFPA seeks to empower and engage citizens across the nation through our State Delegate system, which governs NFPA along with our board of directors. Our State Delegates represent the organized movement of individuals and organizations in each state who work to end commercial logging on public lands. Each state has an opportunity to elect a State Delegate at convened NFPA state meetings. Each state has developed a statewide strategy to protect federal public lands from commercial logging by incorporating legislative organizing, public education, media, forest watch and litigation and research.
